ABOUT JASON PETERSON

Jason Peterson is the Chief Underwriting Officer of Specialty Managers Group (SMG) and AELC Risk Managers (AELCRM) and the Corporate Secretary of Architects & Engineers Insurance Company (AEIC). Mr. Peterson serves on the Board of Directors of SMG, AELCRM.

Education
Jason attended Creighton University, receiving degrees in economics and political science. Mr. Peterson earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) designation in 1999 and his Associates in Risk Management (ARM) in 2000. A member of the CPCU Society, Mr. Peterson is a licensed property/casualty and surplus lines agent in the State of Illinois and holds non-resident licenses in the State of Delaware.

Career
Jason has been with SMG and its predecessor company since his career began in 1992. He serves as SMG’s Chief Underwriting Officer and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Company’s underwriting functions, including the planning and implementation of underwriting initiatives. Mr. Peterson manages the underwriting functions and reports directly to the CEO. All binders of insurance are reviewed and approved by Mr. Peterson.
