ABOUT MICHAEL IANNOTTI

Michael Iannotti is the Treasurer and Corporate Secretary for both Specialty Managers Group (SMG) and AELC Risk Managers (AELC RM). He also serves on the Board of Directors for both entities.

Education
Michael received his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Iowa in 1997. He earned the Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF) designation in 2009.

Career
Michael has served both SMG and its predecessor company since 1997. His responsibilities include financial statement preparation and reporting for AEIC. Additional responsibilities include preparation and reporting of quarterly premium and loss reports to reinsurance markets, as well as overseeing SMG’s internal IT systems. Michael is the primary company liaison to auditors, actuaries, state insurance departments, and the NAIC. He also serves as the Human Resources Director for SMG, and is the company’s main point of contact with outside IT, payroll, pension and health insurance providers.
